Pop-UP SESSIONS

‘Pop-Up Sessions’ is a monthly series of intimate concerts each with a concept, a line-up and the storytelling. We ‘Pop-Up’ a stage, in unique and interesting venues across Berlin for upcoming, emerging and touring artists to share their music and journey. With this series, we aim to transform how we engage with the artists and their craft. Check our agenda for 2026 for the latest Pop-Up Session and become part of a community-driven experience for you to enjoy music.

Join us for a special edition of Pop-Up Sessions at Workish.Berlin in homage to the optimistic noir hues of music: a place for dreaming, nostalgia and belonging all through the lens of dream-pop and introspective-indie music featuring three Berlin-based artists including Gossamer Sea, Minka and Kathi Deakin.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

GOSSAMER SEA
(dream-pop duo)
Gossamer Sea is the independent dream pop duo of Mia and David, conceived in Berlin last year. They are inspired by the vastness of the ocean and its consciousness, of lightsome indeterminacy, and sharing their collective spirit to widen consciousness in music. Their music weaves disparate sounds together, ethereal vocals and reverb-soaked guitars, esoteric found sounds and synthesised textures, punctuated by electronic beats. They released their first single, Alice’s Lost Land, in December 2025, and their new single Butterfly in March 2026, with an album to follow later in the year.

MINKA
(Introspective-Indie)
Together, Paula Klein, Sandro Cecchin and, since 2022, Philipp Appel are the trio MINKA. They move stylistically between introspective indie, experimental soundscapes and melancholic playfulness. Musically situated somewhere between PJ Harvey, Fink, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead and dark wave influences, Minka develop their very own sound characteristic by their atmospheric, grounded and emotionally accessible music.

The songs emerge from the interplay of different musical backgrounds. Sandro brings influences from metal and fingerstyle guitar, Philipp combines indie, post-punk and classic rock, whilst Paula offers a stylistic range from jazz choir to grunge. Since then, Minka have been establishing a growing and unique presence on the Berlin music scene with their distinctive sound.

KATHI DEAKIN
(Indie-Noir)
Kathi Deakin is a British-German artist who explores themes such as loss, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm in her music. Her sound — like her emotional world — is multilayered, intense, and at times overwhelming. In July 2024, she released her debut single “Fairy” — a shimmering sonic landscape woven with longing and fragility. This lesbian love song celebrates the power of femininity. This was followed by three more singles. In May, she opened the concert for Freak Slug (UK) at Badehaus Berlin. Kathi’s father, a drummer himself, taught her how to play the drums and guitar — together they would sing songs by artists like Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver. These musical roots continue to shape her artistic expression to this day. October 2025 her debut album Perennial was released. Honesty and love twinkle in between fear and pain.

Our studio is the heart of this project and it all starts here.

It’s a space for music production and goes hand in hand with Max Rêve’s expertise in audio engineering.

Max Rêve Production it’s a creative space to give shape and form to arrangements, song composition, songwriting, song production, and recordings. With Max expertise, this space has been the a creation lab to tailor singer songwriter, indie, pop, orchestral sounds, atmospheric soundscapes, and many other musical projects from concept to completion.

During the weekends, and often once a month, Catherine and Max join forces to brainstorm concepts at the interface of music and communication.

To give our recording room a bit more of heart and soul, 310sessions came to live, in the room 310, in Frank-Zappa-Straße 11.

What started as a YouTube channel, or a digital platform to provide artists with an opportunity to have a professional audio and video material, often needed by upcoming artists for open calls and applications, has become a sense of community and our form of driving the needle towards where we would like to see a change in the music landscape.

Artists are invited in our studio to record a live session of about 20 minutes, or up to 3 songs. The sessions are often released every month. Artists get visibility through our YouTube channel and a link open-access to use for future references of their music.
