Visiting the website
When you visit our website, certain data is automatically transmitted from your browser to our server and temporarily stored in so-called log files. This includes:
• IP address of the end device
• Date and time of access
• Name and URL of the file accessed
• Website from which access is made (referrer URL)
• Browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your device
• Name of your access provider
This data is technically necessary to display our website correctly and to ensure stability and security. This data is not merged with other data sources.
The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and error-free provision of the website).
Use of cookies
Our website only uses technically necessary cookies that are required for the operation and basic functions of the site (e.g., to display content or store your language settings).
These cookies do not store any personal data and do not require consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and functional provision of the website).
No tracking or marketing cookies are used. You can control the use of cookies via your browser settings and deactivate them if necessary. However, this may limit the functionality of the website.
Embedding YouTube videos
Videos from the YouTube platform are embedded on our website. The embedding is done in a privacy-friendly manner using a so-called two-click solution. When you visit the page, no video is loaded and no connection to YouTube is established. Instead, you will see a placeholder with a note.
Only when you actively click on “Show video” will the video be loaded and a connection to the YouTube servers (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) be established. In the process, personal data such as your IP address and information about your usage behavior may be transmitted to YouTube and processed there. Data processing may also take place in the USA. YouTube is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, but there are still data protection risks.
The embedding takes place in YouTube’s “extended data protection mode,” which only stores information about visitors to our website when the video is played.
The legal basis for data processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which you give by actively clicking on the video. You can revoke your consent at any time by reloading the page.
For more information on how YouTube handles your personal data, please refer to the provider’s privacy policy.
