Pop-Up Session at Workish.Berlin in homage to the optimistic noir hues of music and a place for dreaming, nostalgia and belonging all through the lens of dream-pop and introspective-indie. Music featuring three Berlin-based artists including Gossamer Sea, Minka and Kathi Deakin.

Gossamer Sea

The dream-pop duo Gossamer Sea took us on a journey to explore the element of water and everything that surrounds that scape.
A live performance with a core heart that made homage to nature and with songs titled “Whalesong” and “Butterfly”. Gossamer Sea shared their care for our inner and outer world with music that takes a moment to witness everything at sea. A realm accompanied by vocals, guitar, keys and a light show to transport us into closer to the shore to question and explore the vastness and the depth of the sea.

MINKA
The trio MINKA brought an interplay between melancholy and introspection. An experimental yet unique sound that carries energetic vocals, a grounding base and acoustic guitar. With lyrics that echo experiences of places like Berlin and the resilience within oneself.
‘Roaring like a Tiger’ was one of the songs mostly mentioned by the crowd to us, that represented strength with an animalistic analogy of emotions.

Kathi Deakin

Music that recalls a celebration to oneself and an artistic expression on transformation and perception. Kathi Deakin accompanied a live performance with visuals that took us to places of calmness and certainly places that hold for emotions including loss, anxiety, longing and fragility.
Sharing songs such as “Little Tiger”, which brought our hearts back to Panama and the love song “Fairy”, a song that poured in bright undertones to her set.
